the bar has been raised

i'm taking students to best friends animal sanctuary in kanab this weekend. it's a wonderful place filled with lots of darling animals . . . and i'm worried about coming home with some new furry friends. however, having just watched this little dude, the bar has been raised. i'm not bringing home a dog unless he can do ALL this. that should keep me safe right?

Now that is the kind of dog even I would bring home. What the?! His helpfulness knows no bounds. I can't wait to show this to my girls in the morning.

Also, thanks for your comment on my blog this AM. I have seen the Hobart Shakespeare doc. That teacher is so incredible. I still think about when his kids are reading Mark Twain aloud and are so moved that everyone in the class is crying. What would the world be like with more teachers like him -- or even just people like him. love you, Zi!

so cute! We watched our friends' dog last week, which was the first time I have ever been around a dog for more than an hour. She knew a few good trick, and it was fun getting her to perform them for treats :)
